Personally, I’m the type of person that needs/wants to have the latest electronics because, I love gadgets. I like the feel of having the latest device and being able to play the latest games on my phone. I've always loved electronic devices. I don’t really care about apples bank material because, I don’t like apple products. I’m more of a droid girl. When I was a kid my family had apple everything; it was cool and all but it was just so basic and never changed. That’s the thing with all of apples products, they never change, they always have the same interface just different designs. The company might change the way the software looks but the interface never changes. I think that the iPhone might change the weight of the phone by creating a lighter phone with a bigger screen. One main thing I would like to see apple change is their interface because, it’s always the same. Other than that apple has pretty good apps and functions.

The Pope has twitter, eh.

I think the Pope making a twitter account may attract more youth to take part church, however, almost half of the youth nowadays aren't even that interested in church any more. The only benefit of our Pope having twitter is knowing that he is actually answering our questions. I think this is a huge benefit because, a lot of famous people don’t even tweet their own tweets they have their assistant tweet for them. I think that the only disadvantage is, not knowing if our youth will want to tweet the Pope. I know that my generation, and from my own experience that most us of don’t or will ever have the time to tweet the Pope (especially with the school I’m attending). My parish doesn’t take part in the social media because, they’re old fashioned and believe that you should talk to one another face to face. In my opinion, I highly doubt that you’ll ever see any parish take place in any social media involvement, unless it’s for a fundraiser or something. I think that the reason people are not that interested in church is because, of the way the church holds their service. Sometimes when you go to church, you start to dose off because of the way the priest is talking and how the choir sings. If the church made the service more lively, and not so dull, then I think that a lot more youth would be more interested in taking part in church. I’ve slept in church quite a few times due to the fact of how they hold their service. I know this is a bad thing because, I barley go to church and when I do I sleep, but the priest and the choirs voices are just so soothing to me. 

Trouble in Paradise

I do not think that Khadijah’s comments about her teacher where inappropriate because, saying that your teacher “lives at home with his mom, eats fish sticks for dinner, and all he talks about is Star Wars”, is really just a form of expressing how you feel about him, at that very moment. I think that that only thing that was wrong with her righting that was, that fact that she didn’t have her account locked. In my opinion, I think that that the suspension is a little too much, because they were just expressing how they feel, and that is basically what most teenagers use twitter for - to vent. However, I do understand why they would be suspended. I don’t think it was reasonable for the school board to extended such a punishment to some of them, but too the rest of them I think that –it was not the worst disciplinary they could get. I think that students should be allowed to share their opinion’s freely, especially on twitter because, that’s personally where I vent out all my issues and how my day went. I know that they didn’t mean to offend the teacher or for him to see it, but that’s what happens when you don’t set your privacy settings accordingly. I think it’s fine to post stuff like this on twitter because, to me twitter is a venting hotspot, and is just a quick place to vent out all your issues for a short period of time. As for the other sites like Facebook, I don’t even think that - that site should cross your mind because, from all the pervious history Facebook has had with things on your page not being your own, it just wouldn’t be a smart place to vent. So, if you did do something like that, I wouldn’t even be surprised if your teacher saw it.

Da Txting problems of the World

As a teenager, I don’t have a problem with people texting in social situations because, I do it all the time. However, I do think that it is way easier/ faster for you to call someone instead of waiting for a reply because, when you call someone, you can get the answer as soon as they answer the phone (which saves you the time you would have wasted waiting for a reply). I don’t really mind if my friends text while I talk to them, because I know that their still listening to me, they just had to reply to that text real quick. However, if I’m trying to make a new friend, or if I’m try to tell them something important, and they continue to text like I’m not there or I’m not important enough to get their attention then, I find that very rude and inconsiderate. But, that is why I don’t talk to people who think too highly of themselves.

If I had to come up with a list of five etiquette rules for texting, it would be:

1. Use PROPER GRAMMAR.
2. DO NOT spam anyone if they don’t reply As Soon As Possible.
3. Don’t talk about emotional stuff, because we can’t express our selves through texts.
4. DO NOT WRITE LONG TEXTS, CALL THE PERSON INSTEAD. Same thing goes for number 3.
5. DO NOT text if you have something important to say and you have really bad GRAMMAR.

If people could do this when they text, It would be a lot easier to understand and more efficient on both sides. But, if you really want a reply from the person ASAP, then just give them a call – trust me – its way faster than having to wait for a reply.

I do not agree with the way celebrities are being treated. I think that celebrity’s need their personal space just as we do. I think that when you start to go beyond the streets and onto somebody’s property, that’s going too far. I also think that, if you twist the truth that the somebody’s told you and turn it into the complete opposite of what he person told you - just because you want a good story, that’s going too far. The paparazzi uses media networks to their advantage to post-personal news about famous individuals because, it’s the most common/ easiest way to stock anybody. However, it’s not always the Medias fault because, most of the time celebrities put their lives on social media networks, and don’t put any form of security for it. They also tend to put almost all of their information online and what they are doing every day online. I’ve done some research of my own and one story that was a good example of paparazzi going over board is when Kim Kardasian almost getting hit by one of the paparazzi cars following her.

I think that this is going was going too far because not only did you put her and the baby’s life in danger, but you also put your life in danger. I just think that, taking one picture is not more important than anyone’s. There will be plenty of more opportunities for you to take photos of celebrities at a good and safe distance. Therefore, there is no reason to be taking photos of somebody when your life is at risk. I know that if somebody invaded my privacy, I would be going to court to get a restraining order from him/her. This is why, sometimes it’s better to just be average human instead of some celebrity.

How safe is your Social Networking accounts?

I am a member of a social networking website. It is a good way to connect with friends and stay in touch with friends and relatives that are not living in the same country or area as me. I always check my privacy settings whenever I sign up for a social networking account, because my dad doesn't allow me to have an account without doing all of the security checks. Only my friends can see what I do and what I put out there on the internet. The information I allow others to see on my profile or page, are my pictures and statuses. I always think about who can see what I’m doing on the internet because, that’s the number one way people can stalk you and or get your information. Nothing is safe to post on social networks because even if you post something like a picture of you and your friends, people can still track you down and start to trail your every move. Something ‘s that you should keep to yourself and not allow other to see are your bank account information, where you live, where you work, what school you go too, how old you are, your number, your real name (etc.).  You can become a more responsible user of your social networking website by going into the settings of the social networking site and looking at what privacy options they have their for you.  If they don't have any security settings, than you shouldn't be on that site. This is important because you never know who is out there and watching whatever you do. I've watched way to many criminal minds episodes to know- not to put a privacy setting on all of my social networking accounts.
